Book Groups & Writing Projects

Happy 2020! We hope the year is starting off with your feeling connected to yourself and your community. Thank you for being in ours. We ended 2019 with a wonderful dose of connection with the craniosacral community when we were invited in for the final meeting of the BCTA/NA's Elements of a Successful Therapeutic Business book group. The conversation was lively and supportive, and the questions were terrific, showing just how deeply everyone was engaging with the material. The screenshot below—taken mid-joke from the looks of it—captures a portion of those who attended. Thanks for welcoming us into your group!

2020 is off to a roaring start for us, and while neither of us is particularly good about resolutions, we do take time to think about our intentions for the year, and how we want to feel as we move through it. One idea we each came up with was that, while we are deeply committed to our work and family life—which both can get so busy!—we don't want to feel pressured or pushed in 2020. So we'll be keeping each other accountable, checking in to be sure we have ample time for rest, reflection, creativity, and fun as we complete projects and embark on new ones. And new projects keep finding us, for sure. We're writing again, with a new article in the January issue of Massage Magazine titled, "Build Clientele with Self-Awareness: Explore Your Unique Way of Showing Up."

Next up in the writing queue are two articles for Massage & Bodywork Magazine, both focused on touch and slated for the first half of 2020. We'll let you know as soon as they're published!

Thank you again for being in our community. An extra helping of thanks goes out to those of you who have taken the time to review our book online! The reviews show us we've written the book we wanted to write: one that gives practitioners the tools and permission to create the business they truly want, in language that's clear and to-the-point.
